Bragg Family Memorial Scholarship

Bragg Family Memorial Scholarship

Hope and Don BraggThe Bragg Family Memorial Scholarship Fund honors Hope Bragg, who was a 4-H STEM instructor with the Division of Agriculture’s Cooperative Extension Service. Her husband, Don, was a project leader for the U.S. Forest Service with an office at the University of Arkansas at Monticello.

The couple and two of their children—Kenny, 22, and Elizabeth, 19—died Dec. 30, 2023, in a house explosion while visiting family in Michigan. Their son Stephen, 16, and Hope’s father, Richard Pruden, 72, survived.

The Braggs were beloved by friends and co-workers. They were passionate about education, and the scholarship is a way for the Arkansas 4-H Foundation to ensure that their passions for 4-H will be not only remembered but also passed on to future AR 4-H youth.

The scholarship will benefit a current 4-H member pursing a college degree in natural resources or STEM-related fields.  Application information will be available at a later date.

Help us continue to remember the Braggs with great affection and respect!
